My mission is to help you understand and explore Spain like a local!

When I first moved here in 2011, I had no idea how to enjoy everything this country had to offer.

I wish someone had taken me under their wing and explained it all to me. 

So that’s what I do for you here! 

But why me?

I’m James Blick, a New Zealander who met and fell in love with a Spanish woman in 2005 and moved to her fair country to start a new life in 2011.

And as I fell in love with and became more fascinated by Spain, I wanted to share everything I was learning with others travelling here.

So I started writing for newspapers about Spain (I’ve had articles published in The Guardian, Sunday Times, El País English, among others). I’ve also appeared on CBS, BBC, Channel 4 sharing my knowledge of this country, its food and its history.

In 2012 I co-founded the award-winning food tour company Devour Tours.

Since then we have connected 100,000 curious travellers with local people and food in a way that helps local culture thrive.

And in 2013 I started my YouTube channel, Spain Revealed.

Again, my goal was – and still is – to help curious people like you explore and understand Spain deeply… like a local.

In short? I want you to fall in love with this country like I have!
